TRAMM TRIO

Conflict of Generations, a concept by TRAIMM Trio, is a musical encounter between two generations of Azerbaijani musicians whose artistic identities were shaped by radically different historical realities. Performed by father Rahman Mammadli on guitar, his son Tural Mammadli on keyboards, and Elnur Aliyev on percussion, the project shows how traditions survive political pressure. Behind the Iron Curtain, Rahman learned to innovate within walls, translating traditional mugham onto a Jolana guitar. On stage, this heritage meets a younger generation that inherited the possibility of crossing those walls, turning the tension between limitation and freedom into their central musical language.
