Malena Drela grew up in Athens, Greece and moved to Germany in 2011 following the Greek financial crisis to begin her studies in Leisure Management. She has been working for jazzahead! – the trade fair, conference and showcase festival for the jazz industry – since 2019, starting as an intern and is now a sales and event manager of the team, being mainly responsible for the organisation of the trade fair, taking care of the exhibitors and professional participants of jazzahead!.
After a great 2023 edition with new countries like Greece, Romania and Chile taking part, she is working on the wishes for jazzahead! to represent the complete jazz industry and making jazz accessible to all.
