Aracataca is a young indie-rock band from Šibenik that recently released their debut album *Na sve strane* under the Menart label. Active since 2022, they bring a unique sound that blends bossa nova and post-punk elements, creating a refreshing musical expression. The band – Tara Šolić (vocals, guitar), Lorenzo Ušić (guitar), Ivan Stošić (bass), and Filip Laća (drums) – is known for its creative energy and innovative approach. Their lyrics are often written spontaneously during rehearsals, where they immediately test the connection between words and melody, ensuring each song carries the band’s authentic stamp. Their musical style has evolved with them, shifting from simpler forms to more complex arrangements. Each song reflects their shared growth, both creatively and personally. The avant-garde spirit of their music inspires the band’s name. At the beginning of their journey, while working on their first songs, they discovered a parallel with the diversity of Gabriel García Márquez’s hometown, Aracataca, which inspired them to adopt the name.
