Lunikk is an experimental dark electro-pop duo from Eastern Europe, formed by Kristina Yordanova and Denny Popov. They met a few years ago when Denny was in a rock band and Kristina, once doubtful about pursuing music, discovered a shared creative frequency through many conversations. Fate intervened when Denny’s band broke up, and Kristina’s notebook of poetry, titled “Let’s Live on Mars”, became the foundation for their collaboration. Committed to making music without compromise or ego, they converted a room in their apartment into a studio. Over two years and countless cigarettes later, their imaginary world began to take shape – a world rooted in the gray realities they experience, yet delivered in a way that resonates universally. Lunikk caught international attention and went on to sign with Cleopatra Records, a prominent Los Angeles – based indie label.
