CURA I DEČKO, a duo immersed in a synth-dance experience, have been spreading their ideas across the Croatian independent scene for 9 years. In 2024, they achieved yet another 24-hour performance, appeared at EXPORT and INMUSIC, and officially released the single “TREBALA, MORALA” accompanied by a high-production music video. Vanesa Petrac and Ivan Marojević thrive on performance—blending analogue and digital, electro-pop and hip-hop, and crafting immersive sonic landscapes. The front-facing vocals are tender only in fleeting moments, while optimism radiates through their original lyrics. C+D embody something rarely seen in a so-called “world-class band” (as described by Anđelo Jurkas): a dawless approach to live electronic music that captivates with its sound quality.
Some of their most memorable shows include: the 100th Party Shirt, PRIDE RIDE and its rhythmic chants, a crowd of 10,000 at the Night March, and EYE Varaždin (Arena Varaždin), where they warmed up the stage for Burak Yeter at the European Youth Event. Active even during the pandemic, they’ve become a refined force in the Croatian music scene. Their almost mischievous play with the concert format makes them scene rebels and audience favourites. The duo works full-time in their craft. Besides performances, educational workshops, and jam sessions, they also create for theatre—and are currently finishing an album. In it, they’ve made an effort to translate their elusive concert energy into audio format. By summer, they’ll have a link ready to share.
