Originally hailing from Cambridge and now residing in London, Ugly have been using downtime to craft a sound that fuses inspiration from choral, post-rock with rock staples of the ’60s/’70s, and in the process revealing a special take on the writing process. The original indie four-piece has evolved into a swirling alt, post, and folk rock sextet, and their recent debut EP, Twice Around The Sun, is a lasting monument to their defiant regeneration as a band, to the power of community, and the virtues of persistence.
