FROM EUROVISION TO SZIGET AND GREAT ESCAPE TO SUPERVAL – 15 NEW NAMES JOIN THE SHIP FESTIVAL LINEUP!

The most beautiful stages of the Adriatic will once again vibrate to the rhythm of a contemporary musical vision this September. The SHIP festival, which will take place in Šibenik from September 11th to 14th, will once again bring together the best of the Croatian and international scene – from young bands who took their first steps at Superval to renowned performers from stages such as Eurosong and Great Escape.

The organisers’ latest announcement includes 15 new names, each with a unique story, sound, and energy.

The Swiss band Sirens Of Lesbos, led by sisters Jasmina and Nabyla Serag, has built a recognisable musical expression with an authentic blend of indie pop, electronica and global influences – collaborating with greats such as Bootsy Collins and JID. After a successful European tour and support from the BBC and American producers, the band announces its third album and a new concert season, including performances at The Great Escape Festival and other essential music stages.

This year’s Croatian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest, Marko Bošnjak, brings his “Poison Cake” to the Šibenik coast after the show in Basel. Marko Bošnjak is one of the most exciting young musicians on the regional scene – uncompromising, authentic and vocally powerful. The big stage suits him well, and he has prepared a real musical treat for the Šibenik audience. The Croatian team is also represented by Ki Klop, a Zagreb disco pop trio that has already won over the Croatian and regional audience with its convincing performances, and they also won the Rock&Off award in this year’s Pop&Off category.

10KRE is a young Croatian band from the Superval family, a festival of high school bands, and will show European professionals and other colleagues what they know. Aracataca will present their sound on home grounds, and this band from Šibenik has increasingly become prominent in the scene in recent months.

The Czech Bratři brothers are twin brothers who uniquely present electronic and techno music. Dutch Cocobolo likes to boast that they make music the way children think. It’s up to you and us to see it live in Šibenik. The music of the Croatian band čuvarkuća dances on the border of psychedelia lo-fi and tells stories in our language, with diacritics, feelings, falsetto and all those undesirable things. Maja Pa is another Croatian name, and she is the underground ruler. Her sets are an unpredictable journey — a fusion of intense, eclectic, high-energy sounds.

Slovenian msn gf btb gabi98 is a DJ duo that provides the audience with the ultimate club experience of the booming Ljubljana underground scene. From neighbouring Italy comes the Nādt Orchestra, a band whose sound is a journey between tradition and innovation, where different genres merge and intertwine, giving life to a constantly evolving dynamism. Richie Beige is a DJ from Kyiv based in Warsaw. She is inspired by dark, synthetic ambience as well as sounds from the 90s era.

Taut is the alias of Berlin-based electronic musician Jacob Bergson. His signature is music that seems emergent, not manufactured, as if it spontaneously springs from the listener’s subconscious. Bulgarian Woomb will come to SHIP after the prestigious Sziget festival, where they perform this year. Woomb is a duo that has proven itself not only as a local phenomenon that gathers a community of fans through flirting with genres but also as a creative force unstoppable on its way. ZHIVA is an artist from Serbia who strives to return to quality pop with a touch of the authors’ musical and life experiences. She is convinced that achieving the ideal balance between pop and alternative music is possible, which the audience will enjoy.
