SHIP 2026 HAS OFFICIALLY SET SAIL: NEW MUSIC ON THE HORIZON

The fourth edition of SHIP Festival is underway. We opened at House of Art Arsen, watched a 1929 silent film come back to life with LHD, sent the first bands onto stages across Šibenik — and that was only day one.

SHIP 2026 officially opened yesterday at House of Art Arsen, the place where our festival has begun every September for the past four years.

The opening brought together the SHIP team, our partners, guests, artists and music professionals who have travelled to Šibenik from across Europe and beyond.

Dražen Baljak, President of We Move Music Croatia, Davor Drezga, SHIP Festival Executive Director, and Frane Tomašić, Secretary General of We Move Music Croatia, welcomed everyone to the fourth edition alongside Renata Margaretić Urlić from the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and Danijel Mileta, Deputy Mayor of Šibenik.

LHD opened this year’s programme by performing their original music live alongside a screening of Joza Ivakić’s Birtija (1929), one of the oldest surviving Croatian fiction films. The screening was followed by a standalone LHD set.

As evening fell, SHIP moved beyond Arsen and onto stages across the city, with Nejc Pipp & Co., Mark Mrakovčić, Schmack, Sūn Byrd, MAQUINA., Sorvina, Gliste and Dark Tree Bark making up the first night of live music.

And now we’re properly underway.

Today the conference begins, the stages fill up again, Kevin Cole presents Croatia on the Move at Arsen, and IDEM takes 100 people out to sea for Potopi ovaj brod.
