SHIP FESTIVAL ADDS 18 NEW NAMES – INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL TALENT SET FOR THE ADRIATIC

From pulsating club rhythms to indie anthems, from psychedelic guitars to ethno fusions – SHIP Festival confirms its status as the most exciting musical gathering on the Adriatic coast this year. After the already announced 30 performers, another 18 new names are arriving, bringing the number to a total of 48 performers – 20 percent more than last year.

From September 11th to 14th, the audience will enjoy a rich concert program that, for the first time, extends to Sunday, when Šibenik’s clubs and open-air stages will be bustling with music and energy from audiences from all over the world. The spectacular Kalush Orchestra, Eurovision winners 2022, and the explosive Adult DVD have been announced as the leaders of the new wave of artists, guaranteeing memorable performances and an atmosphere that will turn the Adriatic into the epicenter of world musical diversity.

The audience will be able to hear bands and performers from Great Britain, Cyprus, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine, Greece, Germany, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, and – of course – Croatia.

On home turf, CURA I DEČKO continue their synth-dance journey. After nine years of uncompromising action and performances that last as long as 24 hours, they now come with the song “TREBALA, MORALA” and a visually impressive video.

Dane Franolić, a student of the Zagreb Academy of Music, brings a touch of classical skill to contemporary rhythms – he has already played percussion with numerous ensembles, and now comes to Šibenik to discover his solo side. Della brings indie-pop with dark synths, distorted bass and honest, raw lyrics – music that entices emotions and grabs the audience by the heart.

The rulers of big stages will show our audience what they know and why they are one of the most promising live bands today.

From Osijek comes the psychedelic trio Klaustro/fonija, whose loud rhythms, driving bass and “fried” guitar guarantee a psychotic rock ride without brakes. KOZA MOSTRA from Greece is synonymous with creative freedom: ska, heavy metal, traditional music, folk and disco dance together in an explosive mix that conquers generations.

Šumski from Zagreb have not recognized genre boundaries for decades – they combine krautrock, psychedelia, animation melodies and avant-garde pop into a fascinating, slightly abstract fusion. Swiss Valentino Vivace leads the audience into an Italo-disco ecstasy with the album Discoteca Vivace, inviting you to an imaginary party high above the sea, where you dance until dawn.

And finally – VLADIMIR, a project by Vladimir Mićković and virtuoso Adis Sirbubal, who combine songs and stories from the Balkans and the Mediterranean, from Split to Bitola, from Dubrovnik to Thessaloniki, in an authentic and deeply emotional arrangement.
