Misia Furtak is an award-winning musician and activist. One of her trophies, the prestigious Paszport Polityki, she received for “a skilful combination of strength and delicacy that is both independent and hit”. Her professional path fulfils this prophetic verdict, as Misia combines working her indie magic with jazz, modern classical and Polish rap giants. By critics, she is compared to the likes of Cat Power, PJ Harvey, and Feist. In 2022, Furtak was selected for Keychange – a pioneering organisation supporting women and gender minorities in the music industry. She also led the Polish chapter of Music Declares Emergency. Most recently, she wrote and runs a mentoring-incubation program for artists, with ZAiKS (Poland’s leading CMO), which allows artists to regain balance, strengthen their potential, and find new directions for development. She has played in Europe and Japan, alongside The National, Arlo Parks, TV On the Radio, and many others. Her new album will come out in 2026.
