Nenad Marčec has been the Chief Executive Officer of HDS ZAMP since 2009, following nine years of service as Deputy CEO and later Executive Director of HDS ZAMP. Under his leadership and vision, HDS ZAMP has significantly elevated the quality of its operations—both in terms of member relations and in cooperation with significant industry associations representing public music users—establishing itself as the leading collective rights management organisation in the country, the region, and beyond. Nenad Marčec also serves as President of the Croatian Employers’ Association – Coordination of Cultural and Creative Industries, and has been a member of the Management Board of the Croatian Competitiveness Cluster of Cultural and Creative Industries for several years. Thanks to his expertise and business achievements, he served for several years as President of the European Council of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), headquartered in France. He currently sits on CISAC’s Supervisory Board.

He is also actively involved in the work of the European Grouping of Societies of Authors and Composers (GESAC), based in Brussels, particularly in promoting the importance of copyright protection and developing robust support mechanisms for the cultural and creative industries, which are leading European sectors. With more than twenty years of experience in collective rights management at both national and international levels, and in monitoring the evolution of the music industry, Nenad Marčec has emerged as one of the leading experts in the field. He has spoken as a guest lecturer, panellist, and participant at numerous international conferences and events.
