Stephen Pavlovic is a renowned Australian music executive, promoter, and creative director with over 30 years of experience in the global music industry. He founded the iconic label Modular Recordings, which launched the careers of artists such as Tame Impala, The Presets, and The Avalanches. Through his work with Modular Touring and numerous groundbreaking festivals, including Vivid Live, FOR Festival, and Nevereverland, he has collaborated with various influential acts, including Daft Punk, Grace Jones, The Cure, and Beastie Boys.
He is also the creative force behind the Unpopular exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, based on his archive from the 1990s. The exhibition featured never-before-seen material from artists like Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Beck, and more and newly commissioned works by contemporary artists.
