Tom Bonte is the general director of one of Belgium’s finest and best-known concert venues, Ancienne Belgique, in the heart of Brussels. He studied Art History at the University of Leuven. He graduated with a study on the relation of German and Flemish Primitive Painting in the late medieval period He previously worked as the general and artistic director of Beursschouwburg in Brussels (2011-2020), as a programmer performing arts at art center Vooruit in Gent (2005-2011) and the Antwerp deSingel arts center (2001-2004). Between 2017 and 2020, he was the president of the board of the Brussels Art Consultation, reuniting more than 100 organisations in the Brussels Art field.
