JAN ROBEK

Coming from Novo mesto, Slovenia, Jan Robek is a Ljubljana-based musician, booker, concert organiser, promoter, and manager of a local independent record label. His first steps into professional music work began in 2017, organising events for the local skate collective LYC, including concerts and DJ showcases. In 2022, he took over the management of the underground record label Kapa Records, overseeing nine album releases to date and organising two short Balkan tours for the label’s bands, auto and Čao Portorož. As the label is closely connected to Ljubljana’s renowned alternative venue Gala Hala at AKC Metelkova mesto, Jan further expanded into booking, concert organisation, and promotion—both through the club and via his own platform, KREH. Through KREH, he collaborates with venues at Metelkova as well as local artists, organisers, and designers. For the 2024 and 2025 editions of the MENT Ljubljana festival, Jan worked as a stage manager, overseeing one of the halls at Ljubljana Castle. In addition to his organisational work, Jan is a member of the band mal pre mal, where he is responsible not only for performing but also for booking and tour management. In this role, he has organised two Balkan tours and the majority of the band’s Slovenian concerts, while also contributing to the band’s overall management.
