Mirna Stanić aka M. Rider is singer, songwriter, producer and mixing engineer from Zagreb, now based in Berlin. After first gaining international recognition as a singer-songwriter in Brighton, she signed with FatCat Records in 2012 with her first album and had BBC Radio 6 airplay. She has collaborated with artists including David Kosten (Bat for Lashes), Jason Cooper (The Cure), Vincent Taurelle (Air), Earl Harvin (Tindersticks) and Axel Reinemer (Jazzanova).

Her music draws largely on 1990s downtempo and dance music, blending classic songwriting with electronic influences. While creating emotional landscapes, her musical expression is kaleidoscopic and distinct, branching into various genres and styles. Imbued with saudade, her songs are atmospheric and cinematic, reflecting the inner world of a wandering, soul-searching poet. Alongside her work as M. Rider, Mirna founded JAKA.FM, a Berlin-based podcast, studio and platform supporting female musicians and audio engineers. Through conversation, knowledge-sharing and collaboration, JAKA.FM creates greater visibility and support for women working in the music industry.
